Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski provided updates on the ongoing expert examination of firearms connected to the tragic murders of 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska and 74-year-old Panche Zhezhovski. Once completed, these analyses will be forwarded to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as revealed during Spasovski’s visit to Kumanovo.
Regarding the specifics of Panche Zhezhovski’s vehicle, which was used in the abduction of Vanja Gjorchevska, Spasovski highlighted that as criminal charges are being filed, the investigation’s details rest with the Public Prosecutor’s Office. He emphasized the importance of maintaining confidentiality for the integrity of the ongoing investigation, as it is handled by the Prosecutor’s Office.
Addressing reports about the release of unauthorized information and photos related to the investigation, Spasovski cautioned against the dissemination of unverified details that could disrupt the investigation. He emphasized the need to avoid speculation and politicization surrounding such sensitive cases.
Responding to inquiries about the potential impact of disclosed information on the main suspect’s extradition from Turkey, Spasovski reiterated the importance of refraining from publicizing details during an ongoing investigation, emphasizing that speculations and public disclosures could harm the inquiry’s integrity.
