French Ambassador to Macedonia Christian Thimonier said that Macedonia can expect some good news in May, if it does its job.
Thimonier was hinting at the possibility that France would lift its veto against the opening of EU accession talks for Macedonia at the Zagreb European Council in May. Speaking to the press at the Macedonian Parliament, the Ambassador said that Macedonia should deliver on a number of issues first, including having orderly elections in April with a positive OSCE report, to prove that it is committed to fighting crime and corruption, and to adopt a law against domestic violence.
