High school students which live in the Zdravko Cvetkovski dorm are forced to sleep in the hallways or with friends because the administration began reconstruction at the height of the school season.

This is the time of the year when our children have to prepare for the final exams, the graduation, and instead they are forced to sleep elsewhere because they decided to begin total re-construction, parents told Republika.

The dorm is used for high school students from outside of Skopje who study in the capital. Students tell Republika that they are improvising accommodation in classrooms, where they bring mattresses. They were given just a few weeks notice before being told to empty their rooms.

The reason for the untimely reconstruction is that the administration wanted to rent out the rooms during the summer to folk music groups from who are taking part in a festival.
