Civic initiative 02 reacted on the social networks after the results of a research conducted at the Medical Faculty in Skopje which showed that for the first time in 30 years there is no difference between smokers and non-smokers.

⛔️ For the first time in 30 years, a regular experiment this year showed that there is no difference between smokers and non-smokers because 90% of the students were intoxicated with cyanides as if they worked in the lead industry.

Toxic air in Skopje is most likely the cause.

Cyanides in the air, if we exempt cigarettes, can come from industry, metallurgy, mining, car emissions, fires, burning of certain plastics, further burning of certain biomasses, communal waste, etc.

We are all deeply intoxicated with polluted air, but the Government will reduce air pollution with 2 million euros. Just to say that something has been done.

⛔️ EVERY year 20 times more people die from air pollution than in road accidents in the country.

⛔️ EVERY year, we have more victims of air pollution than those killed in the 2001 conflict.

⛔️ 9 people die EVERY day due to air pollution in the country.

⛔️ 3,200 die EVERY year in the country due to air pollution.

⛔️ 32,700 years of lost life due to premature death we have EVERY year in the country due to air pollution.

People, get intoxicated and die, that is the government’s message.
