Seriously!? After what he’s just done to your country? You pitch up to his event and even pose for a photo op. There’s being diplomatic. And then there’s being humiliated. Perhaps better to have made your polite excuses and given it a miss this year, eh?, London School of Economics professor James Ker-Lindsay tweeted as a reaction to the photo of Presidents Stevo Pendarovski and Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
According to Ker-Lindsay, who is also an expert on the Balkans and a strong lobbyist for Macedonian negotiations with the EU, Pendarovski was not diplomatic with the meeting but has humiliated himself.

The professor believes that with the damaging meeting Pendarovski sent a message that there are no negative consequences for Macron after the EU blockade.
