An Infomax news crew was assaulted in Kocani, as they were filming a party office where local voters were gathered and instructed to leave their identity cards. This indicates election fraud ahead of the narrowly fought mayoral run-off tomorrow between the SDSM incumbent and the VMRO-DPMNE challenger.

The video shows how the crew, accompanied by a local politician, are accosted by activists of a political party, who shout at the journalists, and eventually block their passage. “Who are you to film here? Why are you accompanying them”, the activists shout, while the politician insists that the crew has the right to be there.

Because of the law banning political reporting a day before the elections we are not publishing the name of the party involved.
