Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski said that he has no intention of meeting with opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski, if the only on the table are early elections, as Mickoski has asked. Since assuming office in mid January, Kovacevski still hasn’t met with Mickoski and have only communicated over the phone.

I do not succumb to pressure, blackmail and threats. If the only item the opposition wants to talk about are early elections, then there will be no meeting. We will have elections, but in 2024. At this moment, we need leadership and responsibility to tackle the major challenges we have in this crisis year, the energy crisis, which affects all Europe, the healthcare crisis with the new strains and the inflation, Kovacevski said.
