Macedonia continues to lead the region in coronavirus deaths per million, and now also reached the seventh place worldwide in the same dismal category.

The Institute for Public Health of Macedonia currently estimates 887 deaths per million in Macedonia. This ranks the country seventh in the world, behind only Belgium, San Marino, Peru, Andorra, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom. The situation is likely much worse, given the unreliable census data in Macedonia which inflate the number of residents.
