A group of young VMRO activists were arrested this morning in their homes in the Skopje area of Aerodrom, and were taken to a police station. There is still no official word about the reason for the mass arrest of the opposition party’s youth organization in this urban district.

One of those detained is Petar Miovski, member of the Aerodrom municipal council, as well Stefan Sinadinovski, president of the VMRO youth organization in this part of the city.

Unofficially, it is reported that the activists were arrested for painting graffiti critical of the SDSM led Government. The arrests come as the Government is persecuting dozens of high ranking VMRO officiails and hundreds of activists, in an attempt to destroy the opposition party.
