The editor-in-chief of the Serbian pro-government newspaper “Informer”, Dragan Vučićević, who is close to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, sent a direct message to Zoran Zaev.

In the message, Vučićević expressed anger that Zaev in the interview with BGNES portrayed the Serbs as occupiers and the Bulgarians as liberators.

What a wretch this Zoran Zaev is, unbelievable! The Bulgarians liberated you, and we Serbs enslaved you, the Bulgarians are anti-fascists, and we Serbs are fascists ?! Man, are you normal ?!, Vučićević asks.

Many in Belgrade comment that Vučićević‘s sharp message to Zaev could not have happened without the knowledge and approval of the Serbian state leadership.
