VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski held Wednesday the first official meeting with the new US ambassador Kate Byrnes.

Mickoski, as the party informed, said that he welcomed the ambassador and expressed hope that the cooperation during the course of her mandate will be aimed at improving the strategic relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the United States.

Mickoski also said that the friendship between the Republic of Macedonia and the US is of particular importance for VMRO-DPMNE. He also said that “the party’s key strategic interest is Macedonia’s NATO and EU membership”.
