Regarding the divisions in Parliament over the appointment of new members of the Constitutional Court, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski called on Speaker Talat Xhaferi to avoid any attempts to falsify the will of the people. Xhaferi is trying to remove a BESA member of Parliament from the key committee on appointments, since that party switched from the ruling majority to the opposition, and that now gives the opposition majority in the committee.

We have a Speaker of Parliament who acts like he is running a restaurant in his Forino village. He violates procedures as he wishes. The Parliament is the people and we can’t allow falsification and violation of procedures to remove members of the committee, which is being done to avoid reaching compromise with us, Mickoski said.
