VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said that the opposition party demands an audit of the Special Prosecutor’s Office. Mickoski raised the allegations against the SPO during his interview with Prime Minister and SDSM party leader Zoran Zaev.
Zaev can say whether he is influencing the SPO or not, we demand the creation of a Commission which will investigate how did the Special Prosecutors spend 15 million EUR of their budget. We have indications that the money was not spent in accordance with the law, said Mickoski.
The SPO is seen as loyal to Zaev and his party, and has initiated dozens of criminal cases almost exclusively against VMRO officials and activists, paving the way for Zaev to take over power and rename the country.
