On this very day, exactly two years ago, people had faith that Zoran Zaev would bring a better time. For many people, this day was a day of hope for many, of promises that created expectations, desires for life, clean air, 500 euro salaries, a promise for a European future. Despite all the suspicions of crime, corruption, people believed in a better time, opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski said Saturday in an address on the occasion of June 1, the day that the current government came into power and did not bring life to Macedonia.

Two years is a sufficient period for many things to start and finish, to prepare and start to be realized. Two years is a sufficient period for a child to make the first steps, first speech, first changes. In two years, it was possible to project and start building a new clinical hospital, in two years it was possible to project, start and finish building a school, a new kindergarten. In two years, new sewers, water supply systems are being built. In two years it was possible to project and start building a new highway, to finish all started earlier, we could have the first gas to reach the end user, the household … It could be done, but the reality says nothing has been done, Mickoski says in his statement.

He reminded of the promises of Prime Minister Zaev, who promised 5 percent annual growth of the economy, reforms in the judiciary and the prosecution … but the reforms in the judiciary and the prosecution turned into political persecution.

Mickoski regrets that these 2 years showed that this Government is not only incompetent but also harmful.

If the world has suffered a tsunami, unfortunately in Macedonia in these two years Zoran Zaev happened. And this must change. I have no dilemmas, that we must oppose destruction and deceit. There is a new time, regardless of the last cries of the outgoing power, whether they called themselves the purge, a fake shine, or any euphemism for masking the painful reality, says Mickoski and emphasizes that justice, work for a better standard and successes is needed.

Macedonia, above all because Macedonia is our destiny and future!
