In the first part of the meeting, party leaders discussed the adoption of a declaration reaffirming the country’s commitment to the European integration path. All leaders agreed to support it.
As party sources told Republika, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski urged the leaders to respond to the Bulgarian government’s declaration that, among other things, “the Macedonian language and the Bulgarian fascist occupation must not be mentioned”.
The other leaders reportedly agreed.
In the second part of the meeting, leaders will discuss the election date. VMRO-DPMNE’s positions are clear – elections are a logical follow-up to this government’s defeats, to be organized in accordance with constitutional and legal norms, no time to lose, especially as a period of reform that must ensure progress is following.
