It is a big lie that Zaev achieved success at the international level. In Europe, the country is known for corruption, injustice and the latest debacle with the health crisis. With this government, neither the European Union becomes a reality, nor is any bilateral issue closed in our favor. Proof of that is the dispute with Bulgaria, which is a huge obstacle, and which was sold to us here as a great success after the agreement was signed by the Government of Zaev with which the Pandora’s box was opened, said the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski at Saturday’s press conference.

According to Mickoski, the problem with Bulgaria would not have escalated so much and today we would not have a seemingly insurmountable obstacle and brake on the road to the European Union if it were not for Zoran Zaev and his lie that the date was a done deal.

Further more our eastern neighbor will get something that he has informally promised them, a solution for the language, history and people according to Sofia’s demands, and he knows that has no chance to pass by the citizens. So one thing he says here in front of the domestic public, and a completely different false hope has been promised to official Sofia, Mickoski said.

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE says there is no Macedonian or any citizen who felt this country as his own that does not feel humiliated, offended by all those statements that our people was artificial, that our language was a tree without roots, invented in the 1945, that our freedom fighters were Bulgarians and what not.

On top of that, we are witnessing a secret non-paper that the Government does not comment on, but it accepted and at the same time, without explaining on whose behalf it did so and with whom it consulted about all this, he added.

The main problem is that neither then nor today, when we were approaching the last days of the final talks, Zaev and the Government are negotiating without having a general political consensus inside on such an important issue. That is why, among other things, I called for a leaders’ meeting to discuss the talks with Bulgaria, and that is why it was important for us to speak together because one person cannot speak on behalf of all and think that he can accept non-papers that we have never analyzed, Mickoski said.

Mickoski underlined that VMRO-DPMNE will not accept a compromise that assimilates us, or makes us bend the spine and called on Zaev not to bend his spine at least once in his life do the opposite of what he has been doing so far and correct his mistakes.
