VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski says that the party is receiving a large outpouring of support from sister conservative parties across Europe, as he attended the CDU party congress in Leipzig and the Zagreb EPP congress.
Following the exceptionally successful EPP congress in Zagreb, where we restated our positions and our full support for Macedonia’s EU accession, and received exceptionally strong support from our sister parties, we are in Leipzig for meetings with a number of Bundestag members. We are discussing the current political situation in Macedonia and our view of the situation. The level of support is enormous, we’ve met many leaders of our sister parties and they state their doubtless support for VMRO-DPMNE at the coming early general elections, Mickoski said.
The Macedonian opposition leader again addressed the controversy over the treaty Zoran Zaev signed with Bulgaria, which occured after Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov broadcast a portion of his conversation with Mickoski on Facebook.
In their attempt to conceal the disastrous scandals at home, the fact that Zaev’s protege attacked his coalition partner DUI or the scandalous release of Katica Janeva from prison, the well paid PR machine of the SDSM party is distorting the truth and trying to manipulate the public. But, the truth is coming out. VMRO-DPMNE will win the coming early elections and Zaev and the rest of the SDSM leadership are aware of this and are panicking. They understand how wrongheaded were their policies over the last three years, Mickoski said.
