VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski described the frantic negative campaign SDSM launched against the Skopje mayoral candidate Danela Arsovska as an act of desperation. Zoran Zaev staked his survival as Prime Minister on beating Arsovska, and with days left before the election he began a media campaign in which he is accusing Arsovska of being a “Bulgarian agent”.
This is beyond negative campaigning, this is black campaign. This is what desperate people do, people who know they are losing the elections and need to demotivate voters, Mickoski said in an interview with Sitel TV.
Mickoski urged the voters to disregard the turn of the campaign and to go out and vote anyway, completing the victory of the opposition from the first round of the elections.
