The mobile phone of Mane Trifunovski, the driver of the ill-fated bus that crashed on the Skopje-Tetovo highway, killing14 people, was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate whether it was used at the time of the accident, TV21 reports.

The Prosecutor’s Office through the listings of the mobile operator will check the calls and internet use.

The initial information from the investigation so far comes from a tachograph fitted to the bus, which showed that before swerving into the left lane of the highway it was driving at speeds of 80 to 85 kilometers per hour. Mechanical engineers will check whether the speed measuring device was properly working before the accident occurred.
