Macedonia is expected to sign the NATO accession protocol on Monday, reports Radio Free Europe.
NATO Governments have determine the text of the protocol, and will hold the signing ceremony on Wednesday, after which it will be sent to the 29 member states for ratification.
Greece, who blocked Macedonia’s NATO membership since 2008, is expecte to be the first to ratify it. That is one of the few obligations Greece assumed under the Prespa Agreement, which renames Macedonia into North Macedonia, and gives Greece the right to interfere in Macedonian history books and public discourse.
