I would like to talk about another thing that was not open today in this debate. And that is in relation to the positioning of Macedonia in the region, and in terms of European integration, but also in terms of internal, primarily economic conditions. The key benefit of EU leadership, if you want a key request and desire of the citizens when you ask them on the street why they want the country to join the EU are two things, as they say to have order, or translated here in our language rule of the right and all that it brings with it. The second is a better standard of living, said MP Aleksandar Nikoloski today at the National Council for European Integration.

Nikoloski added that it is incomprehensible for him in conditions when Serbia with all its geostrategic and geopolitical flip-flops, ie dancing on a rope, which makes it receive a 600 million euro grant for high-speed railway. That railway should properly connect Nis – Belgrade – Novi Sad – Budapest – Vienna, ie open to Central Europe with a branch that should theoretically go down through Skopje to two major ports to Thessaloniki and Athens, and to the east normally to Istanbul. And in Macedonia there is no talk about that at all.

It is an incomprehensible thing for me, that we look at the work in front of us and do not talk about it at all and that the Government does not have any activities for that work. We saw activities for kidnapping MPs, but we did not see activities to build a high-speed railway across Macedonia, said Nikoloski.
