Several months before the elections Zoran Zaev is trying to push through an amendment to the Electoral Code, something that does not mean anything to the citizens, does not improve their lives or reduces corruption, but opens the possibility for SDSM to postpone the elections. However, VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski Zaev warns that Zaev must not even think about postponing the elections, because he will face such strong opposition from VMRO-DPMNE that he will regret it.

Zaev is trying to find a way to escape the election because he is aware that he will be defeated in the elections. The elections will take place because this is the deal, that is what we have agreed with all the political parties. If he tries to run away from the elections, he will face such a strong reaction from VMRO-DPMNE that he will regret having tried to run away from the elections, Nikoloski said.
