Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, accompanied by a delegation of MPs and officials, has been invited to participate in the 4th Jean Monnet Dialogue facilitated by MEPs Andreas Schieder, Marion Walsmann, and Ilhan Kyuchyuk. This three-day event, hosted at the House of Jean Monnet in Bazoches, France, aims to facilitate discussions on the transformative aspects of EU enlargements and the Parliament’s involvement in this process.
The Macedonia delegation includes Vice-Speaker Husni Ismaili, parliamentary group coordinators, and deputy coordinators from various political parties, along with members of the Jean Monnet Dialogue working group. Notable attendees include university professor Jeton Shasivari and Zhane Gusheva, as well as representatives from the European Commission’s Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
The dialogue aims to foster the exchange of experiences and best practices from previous EU enlargement processes, emphasizing the transformative nature of these transitions and the Parliament’s pivotal role in such endeavors.
