State prosecutors filed charges against the driver who took murder suspect Ljupco Palevski – Palco to Turkey. Palevski is suspected in the horrific kidnapping and murder of 14 year old Vanja Gjorcevska that was carried out last week.

The rest of his group who participated in the crime are in detention, but Palevski left the country, initially to Serbia where he was driven by his lawyer, and then headed through Bulgaria to Istanbul with the help of a friend. He was eventually arrested on the side of the highway south of Istanbul.

His driver was arrested when he tried to return to Macedonia on the Dojran crossing with Greece. He reportedly denied any knowledge about Palevski’s involvement in the crime. Prosecutors are demanding detention for him, as an accomplice.
