The Statistics Bureau reports that there were 3,768 new marriages registered in the third quarter of 2020 – which is a drop of 12.9 percent compared to the same period 2019.
Meanwhile, the number of divorces rose by 8.5 percent to 357.
There were 5,141 newborns in the same period, which is a drop of 5.2 percent, and 5,419 deaths – a rise of 15.3 percent. Of the deaths, 23 were of newborns
