After VMRO-DPMNE announced that it will filibuster the draft law that would allow holders of dual citizenship to be appointed ambassadors, SDSM responded that it will withdraw the law.
SDSM issued a statement saying that they were going to allow dual citizenship holders to be appointed as Macedonian ambassadors, but not to the country where they hold the second citizenship. The ruling party said that it will withdraw the proposal since the announced filibuster from VMRO could stall the work of the Parliament.
