Seasoned investigative journalist Snezana Lupevska, who was an outspoken supporter of Zoran Zaev’s Colored Revolution, reacted with dismay at the announcement that a separate operational team is set up to fight crime and corruption.
How is this possible? The Government has the Interior Ministry, it has the Financial Police and a list of other institutions which should act but apparently didn’t. What is this now, a parallel system?, the Telma TV journalist who reports mainly on cases of high profile crime and corruption asked after the announcement of the new team was made.
Zaev was pressured by diplomats to begin tackling the major scandal revolving around Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, in which only two lowly middlemen were arrested so far, even though the suspicions rise all the way to the top of the ruling SDSM party and into the much celebrated Special Prosecutor’s Office.
