Four adults and three children left for Portugal this morning as their permanent destination.

These are employees of international organizations and their families to whom our country has recently provided temporary shelter as part of an international humanitarian operation to help the pro-democratic population in Afghanistan, which is under threat from the new Taliban government in the country.

Macedonia is currently providing shelter to 407 Afghan civilians.

They receive all the necessary support here until a transfer to their final destination is provided. Accommodation costs are covered by international organizations.
