Macedonia is no longer isolated. Our security is not only guaranteed by us alone but NATO as well, which inevitably brings greater security within the country and the region, Vice Premier and Minister of Defense Radmila Shekerinska said following Macedonia’s signing of the Accession Protocol with NATO in Brussels.

“Today we stand on the doorstep of a future for which no one could have guessed a year and a half ago that would become a reality. The door to that future is in front of us, the door is open, and what we want to do is to make the last step and ensure that our country is safe, secure and prosperous,” Shekerinska said.

She pointed out that today the country is at the door of this great success because a strategic decision was made, leaving autocratic rule and living in isolation behind.
