Skopje was among the most polluted cities in the world, based on reports from the IQAir network.
The estimates showed Skopje to be the 7th most polluted city in the world, and high concentrations of particles were also registered in Kocani, Strumica, Tetovo and Gostivar. Macedonia is at the beginning of the winter heating season, when air pollution usually spikes.
