Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said the search for Igor Spasov began after police were told he had not returned to the prison.

While serving a prison sentence, the MoI has no jurisdiction, it is under the Ministry of Justice, the prison makes decisions based on their assessments that should correspond to the appropriate findings of whether and under what conditions prisoners should and may be temporarily released, Spasovski said.
