The procedure for the extradition of Ljupco Palevski, the prime suspect for the murders of Vanja Gjorchevska and Panche Zhezhovski, may last several months, the Ministry of Justice informs.

The request for extradition was prepared the same day after receiving the official notification from the Ministry of Internal Affairs about Palevski’s arrest, according to the Department for International Legal Assistance in the Ministry of Justice. They explain that the extradition procedure in such cases takes several months, and the only exception is the cases of abbreviated procedure when the person accepts to be extradited. They brief that the possibility for Palevski to ask for asylum is small, because as they say from the Department, a request for asylum is submitted immediately after you enter the country.
