Following the tragic death of a 22 year old pregnant woman from Covid-19 the Gynecology Clinic director Viktorija Jovanovska revealed that the patient had diabetes and thyroid issues.

Jovanovska also said that the patient refused two offers to be hospitalized in the clinic, and when she eventually came for treatment, the baby had already died and the woman was in bad condition. The coronavirus test came back negative, but all symptoms indicated Covid-19 and she was cared for in the Covid ward of the Gynecology Clinic, before being sent to the 8th of September hospital to be put on mechanical ventilation, where she died.
