Prime Minister Zoran Zaev made an inadvertent confession that much of his family went through the coronavirus, even though he never reported this publicly and did not go into self-isolation. His comments came during the Telma TV interview, when Zaev was elaborating this theory as for how the virus is operating.

In my head I’m developing my own ideas. I think we are approaching collective immunity, or collective infection, if you will. In my family, half of them are done with it, my both children were positive, my brother was positive, cousins, nephews, and those who haven’t been positive, like me, half of them already have antibodies, Zaev said.

His amateur epidemiology aside, it’s unclear why Zaev didn’t go into self-isolation when his children and other close family members caught the virus, and why didn’t he share this information with the public.
