Three patients died from the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, the Healthcare Ministry said. One is a 46 year old woman from the village of Labunista, who was admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic 20 days ago. She was on mechanical ventilation for a longer period of time, the Ministry said. The other patient who died in this clinic is a 71 year old man from Prilep, who was treated for five days

And in the “8th of September” hospital, a 63 year old patient from Kumanovo died from the virus. She was hospitalized on April 6 and was on a mechanical ventilator since then. The death total now stands at 54.

The Ministry conducted 263 Covid-19 tests, and found 18 new cases of the disease. Half of them are in Kumanovo. This brings the total to 1.225, and about 200 of them are considered to have defeated the illness. Most of the total cases were recorded in the capital Skopje – 411, followed by Kumanovo (338) and Debar (51) which has the most cases per capita, but is by now considered to have overcome the epidemic. Prilep has 117 cases, and Tetovo, Struga and Veles have the numbers in the 50-ies.

Out of the currently treated patients 56 are at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, and three of them are on mechanical ventilation. The “8th of September hospital has 34 patients – 15 of them newly admitted, and six are on respirators.
