VMRO-DPMNE endorsed the key demands of the striking public sector teachers. The party’s Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski said that the teachers are living on wages that are below any human dignity.

They are not paid enough for normal functioning of a person. The salaries absolutely have to go up. Their demands are realistic and are not outside of the realm of the possible. It should be done, we can’t have a rich Government but a poor people, Nikoloski said.

All public sector schools went on a general strike today, and it’s not clear when it will end.
