Bulgarian media, as well as the son of one of the drivers, say that there was another passenger who was saved from the fatal bus but disappeared during the night.

It is even claimed that the passenger is of Arab descent and that no one knows where he is now.

If we put together the total number of victims – 44 and the number of survivors 7, that is a total of 51 people, unlike the registered 52 passengers at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing, said Bulgarian prosecutor Siika Mileva. One passenger is missing, which coincides with the statement of one of the surviving witnesses, who claimed that 8 people got off the bus alive.

Mileva says that 20 minutes before the accident, the passengers were resting at the gas station and the video surveillance is being checked to determine who got on the bus and whether the missing passenger got on the bus.
