VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski spoke Wednesday on the “Top Tema” show about the current political situation in the country, the recent local elections, as well as expectations for the coming period and the formation of a new parliamentary majority.

The kidnapping of a member of parliament on the day of the vote of no confidence in the Government in the Parliament cannot and must not be attributed as failure of VMRO-DPMNE and Hristijan Mickoski, because VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition, together with all opposition political parties opposed to the regime, delegitimized Zoran Zaev and prepared him for political retirement. Namely, VMRO-DPMNE won over 42 municipalities in the country, including the City of Skopje, which is an indisputable success, says Mickoski.

Mickoski added that the kidnapping of an MP speaks of the ruling regime, ie the threats and blackmail that are placed daily by the government to various types of politicians, and even ordinary citizens. What happened on Thursday is a shameful act and an act that only shows the dark political scene in the country led by Zoran Zaev.

The Republic of Macedonia must be neither Colombia nor Bolivia, but the rules, laws and the will of the people must be respected. No blackmail, no threat, will change the opinion of the citizens, which they said loudly in both rounds of the local elections. The victory of VMRO-DPMNE is clear and crystal clear, and the problem with the formation of a new parliamentary majority only says what Zoran Zaev is ready to do, just to save himself, Mickoski concluded.
