The EC’s Progress Report clearly shows that the Republic of North Macedonia has fully accomplished and fulfilled the recommendations set at EU Summit last June and is proof that we have completed our part of work, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi said at the joint press conference on Wednesday after EU Ambassador Samuel Žbogar handed over the European Commission 2019 Progress Report to country’s top officials.

In this context, we expect this report to be followed by EU’s decision to set a date for the start of accession negotiations, which will once again prove that the EU stands on the commitment to open door policy. This will once again give us a chance to what was the contribution, especially to our citizens, who painstakingly unconditionally supported us on this journey to reach this final success, for the report to be unconditional, Xhaferi stressed.
