A 27 year old woman from the village of Kucica near Stip has died after a tick bite.

Epidemiologists believe that the woman developed a hemorrhagic fever following the bite. The tick was initially removed at home, and the woman was treated at the Stip hospital, and then taken to Skopje, where she died.
