Zoran Zaev had the usual photo-op with the US President Donald Trump and their wives, at the reception Trump held during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Following the photo-op, Zaev declared that he was able to chat with Trump and get his support on the Prespa treaty – which attempts to impose a new name on Macedonia.

It was an honor and privilege for me and Zorica to attend the reception held by President Trump and the first lady Melania, in New York, for the UNGA. The President sent out a message that he values and fully supports the Prespa treaty. It is an honor to receive the support from such a top leader and creator of global treaties, Zaev said in a Facebook message.
