Prime Minister Zoran Zaev dug in his heels with a shocking statement, insisting that he will not allow a “faggot” like Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 to topple his Government.
Zaev was speaking at an event held to celebrate the signing of the 2001 Ohrid peace treaty, while his Government is under heavy pressure following the arrest of Boki 13 on extortion charges, and because of Boki’s extensive ties with Zaev, Deputy Prime Minister Radmila Sekerinska, Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva and a number of other officials of the ruling SDSM party. Zaev used the most derogatory term for homosexuals to describe the often cross-dressing Boki 13, and he also brushed aside the investigative reports from journalist Branko Geroski.
I am Zoran Zaev. I came thanks to the votes of the citizens, fighting for freedom, democracy, rule of law, a normal state. I am a fighting man and I will continue to fight for those values so long as the citizens give me this post. Of course, I will not allow a few criminals, one vain journalist and, with apologies to the LGBT community, one faggot, to bring down by Government, Zaev told the press in his latest shocking statement.
