The European Handball Federation (EHF) has traditionally released the list of the best handball players for 2018, which includes the captain of the Macedonian national team, Kiril Lazarov.

Nantes’ right-back, who is 38 years old, played strong in the 2018 European Championship as well as in the Champions League and the French Championship, which placed him in Europe’s Top 10. Lazarov had excellent performances for Macedonia in the first phase of the January gathering in Croatia, with Nantes he reached the finals of the Champions League, and at the same time became the top scorer in the final tournaments of this championship in Cologne.

The list also features two former Vardar players, Arpad Sterbik and Alex Dujshebaev, as well as Diego Simeone, Vincent Gerard, Cyril Dumoulin, Andi Schmid, Bjarte Myrhol, Nedim Remili and Sander Sagosen.
