Prime Minister Zoran Zaev expects citizens to receive EUR 60-100 million as a result of the project for VAT return in the amount of 15 percent, which is set to launch on July 1.

VAT revenue losses, according to the prime minister, now amount to around 30 million euros, and the damage is even greater as unfair competition is created.

We will have an excellent system and the expectations are that citizens will receive 60-100 million euros annually in the beginning, and depending on the percentage of success, the more money will go to the citizens, but also in the budget, said Zaev, adding that late on Monday he had a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Public Revenue Office.

With the introduction of VAT return, citizens are expected to be controllers themselves and receive significant returns, but also to improve the VAT collection.
