There were 29 newly diagnosed HIV patients in Macedonia in 2020, and six deaths, reported the Healthcare Ministry.

All new patients were male, and almost all of them were infected through their homosexual partners. There are 306 patients diagnosed with HIV in the country and 303 of them are receiving therapy. Over 91 percent are having the virus suppressed and kept at a very low level.
