While Macedonia is facing food shortages and the Government is reduced to begging Serbia for supplies, the Food and Veterinary Agency announced that it will spend 8.3 million EUR to build its new office.

The Government is introducing anti-crisis measures, Prime Minister Kovacevski says he will cut spending on unnecessary items such as luxury sofas and lunch money for Government officials, and now the Food and Veterinary Agency is announcing a 8.3 million EUR contract for its new office. It is doubtful that this is a realistic sum for 2,600 square meters of office space. The rate of payment is also suspicious, as the contract announces that the builders will be paid in stages of construction. In either case, these 8.3 million EUR could be used for much better, far more important needs of our public, said VMRO-DPMNE spokesman Dimitar Arsovski.
