On the occasion of 9 July, the International Gun Destruction Day, weapons and narcotic drugs seized by the police upon court orders were destroyed Tuesday at the Euro Nickel Industries plants in Kavadarci. The destruction of drugs and weapons was realized through cooperation between the Ministry of Interior, the State Commission for the Destruction of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors and the Real Estate Agency.

More than 600 weapons have been destroyed, most of them guns – 358, hunting rifles – 142, automatic rifles – 32, air guns – 54, one missile launcher and more. In terms of destroyed quantities of drugs, more than 400 kilograms of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, including marijuana, hashish, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines and so on were destroyed, said Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski.
