I hope this position will add value to the government’s efforts to find a solution with friendly Bulgaria in the spirit of European values, former Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski told Fokus after it was announced that the government had appointed him special representative of the Macedonian government for Bulgaria.

There is no official announcement from the Government about this decision, but special representative is appointed in conditions when Bulgaria threatens to block Macedonia’s negotiating framework for the start of EU negotiations, and after the controversial interview of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, reactions in Macedonia and Bulgaria are pouring.
