If you thought that Zoran Zaev is going too far putting the “Republic of North Macedonia” name on anything and everything, turns out the Prime Minister has nothing on Skopje Mayor Petre Silegov.

Silegov today showed that he had the imposed name written in icing onto his birthday cake as he was celebrating his 50th birthday.

Silegov posted pictures of his several cakes, and the main one had the name many Macedonians resent. It’s unclear what was the purpose of using the name on a birthday cake which otherwise said 50 years, Silegov, city of Skopje. As further evidence of the climate of political correctness in the country, several of the cakes were also bilingual, in Albanian.

The Mayor said that he will donate the cakes to several institutions for children.
