The Committee on infectious diseases is proposing that all public sector employees are ordered to take the coronavirus vaccine. This is the latest measure meant to increase the vaccination levels, which have stalled after the summer spike of the illness.

According to the recommendation, all public sector employees, including those working in local administration, will have to provide certificate of at least one vaccine, a PCR test every few days that will not be reimbursed by the employer, or proof of having overcome the illness in the past 45 days.

Committee proposals are sent to the Government for approval.
